Technical Data & Specifications
Type 201 and type 316 are both stainless steel grades with different properties and applications. Type 201 is a low-nickel, high-work hardening austenitic stainless steel has good corrosion resistance in mild environments. It is often used for cookware, hose clamps, and architectural trim.
Type 316 is a molybdenum-containing austenitic stainless steel that has excellent corrosion resistance in more aggressive environments, especially in chloride-containing media. It is widely used for marine, food processing, and medical applications. Type 316 also has better mechanical properties than type 201 at high temperatures.
