Confirm the tested assembly

Coated and uncoated products, direct-to-rung and cross-wrap arrangements, and different wrap counts have different test conditions. Match cable diameter and formation, peak fault current, spacing, support, liner or bracket and installation instructions to the selected test report. These ordering dimensions do not establish a short-circuit rating.

Maximum cable outside-diameter values in BAND-FAST Cable Cleat Solutions Brochure are guides only. Use the full brochure and matching report for selection, or ask UES Promura to review your proposed arrangement.

BAND-FAST selection questions

What is the difference between coated and uncoated BAND-FAST?

Both ranges in BAND-FAST Cable Cleat Solutions Brochure use 316 stainless steel. PPA-coated BAND-FAST has a protective low-smoke, zero-halogen coating, and the coated arrangement described in BAND-FAST Cable Cleat Solutions Brochure allows direct contact with the cable jacket without a separate cushion channel. The uncoated arrangements use a separate protective cushion sleeve. Select the complete restraint assembly, including its wrap, support and installation method.

Which cushion sleeve is required for uncoated BAND-FAST?

BAND-FAST Cable Cleat Solutions Brochure, page 5 specifies CS10E009 for its uncoated 5/8-inch double-wrap arrangement and CS12E009 for its uncoated 3/4-inch double-wrap arrangement. Page 4 also lists TPE-LS/ZH accessories. A listed accessory is not evidence that it can replace the sleeve in a particular tested assembly; confirm the matching report before substitution.

Does the band length tell me the cable diameter?

No. The ordering length is the manufactured band length. Selection also depends on cable outside diameter, formation, wrap count, support and the required restraint spacing. BAND-FAST Cable Cleat Solutions Brochure labels its maximum-cable-diameter figures as a guide only. Send the actual cable and installation details to UES Promura for configuration confirmation.

Can I use the same fault-current result for a different wrap or mounting arrangement?

Confirm each arrangement against its own report. Cross-wrap, direct-to-rung and bracket tests describe different assemblies. A peak-current result does not transfer automatically when the wrap count, cable formation, spacing, liner or support changes. BAND-FAST Cable Cleat Solutions Brochure lists the 5/8-inch coated cross-wrap arrangement separately and directs readers to the applicable reports for slotted and bracket values.

Which installation tool should I choose?

Choose the tool alongside the selected band or cleat and its installation procedure. BAND-FAST Cable Cleat Solutions Brochure presents the C075EL Electric Bantam, C07569 manual Bantam and DT2000 Digital Banding Tool as installation options; it presents LokMate as a clip-finishing tool. Tool capacity alone does not confirm compatibility or the settings for a restraint assembly. Confirm the exact model, regional order code, band dimensions and required installation procedure with UES Promura.

ComponentsMay use separate cleat bodies, brackets, fixings and liners.Specified arrangements can reduce separate components; uncoated versions still require the specified liner.
Installation sequenceSome arrangements require hardware to be staged before cable pulling.Compatible arrangements allow installation after cables are placed and aligned.
Space and selectionFixed sizes and hardware can affect tray clearance and stock requirements.Low-profile banding and diameter adjustment can simplify the package.

Understand the evidence

For final selection, request the report and instructions that match the specified product, formation, wrap, spacing and support.
