PPA-coated or uncoated BAND-FAST: compare the assembly

Data centre cable restraint / PPA-coated or uncoated BAND-FAST: compare the assembly

Coated and uncoated BAND-FAST families provide different documented installation arrangements. Compare the band, clip, protection, wrap, support and tooling together rather than choosing solely from a photograph or band width.

What the current brochure distinguishes

The BAND-FAST Cable Cleat Solutions brochure (PDF) lists PPA-coated and uncoated 316 stainless steel cable-restraint families. The coated families include direct-to-rung and cross-wrap arrangements. The uncoated arrangements described on its uncoated product page use the specified cushion sleeve. Read the relevant part table and installation arrangement together.

Match the protection to the named arrangement

Do not omit a specified sleeve because a different coated product is shown without one. Equally, do not assume that adding a sleeve to an otherwise different assembly makes it equivalent to the tested configuration. Use the band, clip, liner and support references printed in the applicable documents.

The ordering tables identify published BAND-FAST part numbers, dimensions, pack quantities and cushion-sleeve references. Band length is an ordering dimension; it is not a standalone statement of maximum cable diameter or short-circuit performance.

Confirm the installation tools and finishing operation

The installation package includes the tool and the specified procedure. Our DT2000, C075EL and C075 comparison explains their documented functions and links to their brochures or instructions. Confirm the tool and band combination for the selected cable restraint; a tool’s maximum band capacity alone does not approve a particular assembly.

Where the arrangement uses a separate clip-finishing operation, retain that step in the installation plan. The existing C075EL and LokMate demonstration shows the different tool roles. Follow the applicable manufacturer instructions rather than applying a setting from another system.

Compare for your project

Provide the cable formation and outside diameter, support details, required fault duty, restraint centres, environmental requirements and installation access. Ask for confirmation of the exact coated or uncoated reference and its associated protection, wrap, clip and tool procedure.

Read the cable-ladder planning guide alongside the configuration-specific reports. Availability, quantities and delivery dates should be confirmed for the actual project.

Source documents and project support

This guide explains the selection questions using the existing source material, BAND-FAST Cable Cleat Solutions brochure (PDF) and laboratory report register. Read the complete documents for the exact product and arrangement. It introduces no new performance rating or installation approval.
